Flash vs. Console

Most possibilities in a console game are far surpassing the ability of a flash game, but that does not mean the flash game will be less fun. Simplicity is something the mind enjoys.
My favorite console game just happens to have a relatively simple concept. Left 4 Dead has only four different levels. There is a possibility of only four characters and only a few weapons. Each level has its own obstacles, but over all there are only four special enemies, aside from the varying appearances of the simple zombies.
Finding a favorite flash game was much more difficult. All of the flash games are simple. Most are fun, for a while at least. The flash game that kept my attention for the longest though is a puzzle game. It's a spoof game on Portal. The character has a gun that creates two portals, a start point and an end point. The levels are ridiculously short at first but they get so difficult it takes true skill to reach the end.

Gettin' back in the grove!

Well it's been a while. A week off for Christmas and then a whole week of snow days. I'm tryin' to get the game together and work toward a goal that i have to rethink to make the memories fresh. This will be fun! ... ... ... ... sarcasm.

Help!

Is it possible for flash to run a program of 3D design.... Doom style. How can I program the screen to appear to move past my point of view. I have some ideas, but I'm afraid they would be way to difficult to write the code, or even consider writing the code.

Creating paper proto

Well lately, all I have been doing is a paper version of my game. Really its not too difficult and I have been considering using the drawings in our game. We plan on just scanning the stuff or something. Hopefully it will work.
